Tobogganing at the Achensee in Tyrol

Sledging in your holidays near hotel Pfandler

In the past you might have received a smirk if you were seen with a sled in the mountains but tobogganing has enjoyed a genuine renaissance in the last few years in Tyrol – and it’s not just for kids! Specially prepared toboggan runs turn sledging into a popular winter fun for the young and the old. The modern toboggans are more than the classic sledges and do not only glide perfectly, but also easy to steer. With the family, with friends or with your partner the hearty pleasure can begin – including a stop at the hut.

In the Achensee region you can choose between six natural toboggan runs, from 1.5 to 4.5 kilometres in length, and ranging from family-friendly to fast and challenging. It’s a great activity for all ages on your winter holidays in the Alps.
