Winter Hiking in Pertisau

Snowshoeing in Tyrol

Those who want to leave their skis at home on their winter holidays will find a number of other outdoor activities to experience the snowy landscape off-piste on holiday in Achensee, Tyrol. Winter adventures including winter hiking, walking or snowshoeing have been popular in Pertisau for years. Various groomed winter hiking and snowshoeing trails will enchant you with their peaceful forests, sparkling snow in the sun and alpine lodges to stop by for a bit to eat or drink.

On the Zwölferkopf you will find a wonderful circular route (4) along the ski piste and through the forest. On the wayside, life-sized animal figures of the Alps will accompany you. Informative boards turn this panoramic path into a wonderful experience for young and old. To add variety, you will also find a picture frame, giant wooden furniture as well as a perch to climb.

In the Karwendel mountain valleys you can go on a winter hiking tour up to the Falzturnalm and the Gramaialm or to the Gernalm and Feilalm via the Pletzachalm. All 5 mountain huts are managed and invite you to enjoy a bite. Explore the winter landscape in the particularly quiet Tristenau Valley, where it is not uncommon for a deer or a hare to spring across the trails. The quietude is mainly due to the fact that there is no hut in this particularly romantic valley.

But maybe you also walk leisurely and without great effort alongside the lake to Maurach. Stroll through the village centre where sports and fashion stores as well as a perfumery and a supermarket will invite you for one or the other fun buy. Then go back over the vitality mile or with the free regional bus.

Here you have the possibility to send a no-obligation enquiry to the sports and indulgence hotel Pfandler.
